The Commish - Ron Van De Walle
Only member ever voted into a Hall of Fame anywhere before there was a Hall of Fame. Handsome, debonair progenitor of the league. Charter member of both the Moon Fantasy League and the Hall of Fame. Has all the qualifications including being past champion (1999), has several nicknames - Vandy (the real one), Walls, The Captain and according to Moron Honquest, Barf Breath. His memorable pick of Jose Maria Olazabal in the 1999 Masters has been captured in an Jose Maria autographed picture/plaque proudly displayed in his office. He is the real deal.

Leo Depoian
This affable Armenian was only in the league for one year - 2001 - and his tenure was marked by horrible picks and a Bottom 10 finish. However, no one before or after will ever have a better alias - The Black Hose - how descriptive and how lucky for Leo. I might add Leo's purchase of a ticket for the Commish to a recent Notre Dame-Southern Cal game hastened his place into the hall.

Joe Dote* - aka "Beano"
Great moniker and past champion in 2001. Beano is a feared "pool" player, no matter what the sport. He helped along with The Duke and my guy "Scooter", Dotes one and all, revive the league after a year of rest and relaxation. Beano was given the nod when The Commish remembered Joe calling his son Sean safe at 3rd base when he was clearly out by a mile in a game Joe was umpiring about 10 years ago. Good deeds to The Commish are always remembered.

*Unfortunately, an asterisk has to be added to Beano Dote's name in the Hall. While Joe merits the Hall on his record, it seems as though The Commish cast his vote that fateful committee meeting under the hallucinatory effects of some bad gin. Joe was umping at the plate that game and The Duke was the one who made the call at third. Certainly no one can blame the Commish for a failing memory, however the question remains as to whether the gin had been tampered with deliberately or if the Commish over indulged once again...

Seņor Goose - Steve Markovich
Charter player in the Moon League serving as it's Sgt. at Arms since it's inception. Faithfully executing his duties as Sgt. at Arms, the aptly named Goose has been forced to dismember, debowel and fry up the entrails of several deadbeat entrants who were late in their payment of entry fees. Goose has finished in the money a few times but has never collected the big prize.

Sr. Sin - Junie Sinson
Back to back runner-up positions in 2006 and 2007 helped this aggravating player to enter the Hall of Fame. Junie has never been wrong on any pick (just ask him) and for that matter has never been wrong on anything. He greased his entry by inviting the Commissioner and his wife to vacation with he and his wife at their place in Nantucket. Favors such as these are never overlooked at voting time.
